Born in Houston , TX , Burton went on to earn his MBA at Kellogg Graduate School of Business and enter the world of corporate America . Always wanting to live a life of adventure, he began training for triathlons. He swam from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco 4 times, climbed Kilimanjaro, the Base Camp of Everest, and Mt. Rainier . He completed the grueling Eco-Challenge Fiji in 2002, and then Survivor: Pearl Islands in 2003. Today, Burton has completely left the corporate world behind and travels the world seeking adventure, guiding others, and reports to the media about his travels.
